Presentation Guidelines

Axel Retif’s music is a personal and autonomous expression through sound. It should be presented with integrity, allowing the work itself to communicate without exaggeration, dramatization, or prioritizing the composer’s persona. The focus must remain on the sound experience, its textures, contrasts, and temporal unfolding, rather than on external narratives or promotional framing.

His compositions are not to be used for political, or propagandistic purposes, nor associated with narratives that seek to distort, misrepresent, or misuse the art with harmful or manipulative intentions. They are intended solely as sound experiences that encourage attentive listening, reflection, and sensory engagement. All presentations must respect the work’s authenticity and transparency, avoiding manipulation, distortion, or reinterpretation that alters its artistic essence.

In alignment with these principles, Retif kindly requests that his music not be presented in contexts associated with alcohol, drugs, or other toxic substances.

In addition, while Axel Retif’s work is primarily intended as a pure sound experience, he is open to carefully considered collaborations that may incorporate social values or educational messages. Such collaborations must be approached with respect for the music’s integrity and must seek his prior approval. Any project involving social themes or broader narratives should remain aligned with Retif’s artistic values and maintain a transparent and authentic presentation.
